How can I live and work in the U.S. while I wait for my EB-5 visa?

Because the EB-5 visa takes a long time to process, what is the legal way to come, live, and work in the U.S. while my I-526 EB5 form is being reviewed? Or do I have to stay in my home country during this process?

You can stay in your home country, or in certain instances apply from the U.S. You need to examine eligibility for one of the many other visas categories to develop an immigration plan.

You would need a nonimmigrant visa to enter the U.S. and if your country of birth and EB-5 category allows concurrent filing of the I-485 with the I-526 form, which can be done to allow you to stay here as an alternative going forward.
