How can I invest in an EB-5 project with a relative?

Can I borrow $250,000 from a relative in the U.S. and also have him as a silent partner in the business where I will make the EB-5 investment?

Unsecured loans are always an issue-need them to gift funds.

As long as the loan is not secured by the project in which you are investing it should be fine. A private project may have only one EB-5 investor but it can have any number of non-EB-5 investors.
