As a green card holder, I will need to apply for a reentry permit for my son when he leaves the U.S. (in the next 3 years) for his military service in Singapore. I will need to file his taxes to show that he has not abandoned his Green Card. Should I file his tax return as an individual or dependent?

EB-5 Immigration attorneysI would file for him as an individual and have him sign it unless he qualifies as your dependent. The Reentry Permit must be filed while he is on U.S. soil.
