My I-526 application was approved in September 2025. I submitted my I-485 application in Oct 2025. I want to extend the NVC process to avoid exceeding the one-year deadline (as per the NVC process’s communication deadline requirements), as a precaution in case the AOS process encounters problems. What should I do?

EB-5 Immigration attorneysYou just need to send an email to the Public Inquiry site advising “Please keep my case opened (case number, invoice number etc). I have an I-485 on file and will notify NVC when conditional residence is granted with a copy of my PR card."

EB-5 Immigration attorneysDo not let one year pass without any communication with the NVC. Send them regular inquiry once every 11 months asking to keep your case open.
