How can I apply for EB-5 after my J-1 visa?

I am a biomedical researcher currently on a J-1 visa in Boston, but with my program expiring in six months. My parents recently gifted me money from a property sale back home. I want to take advantage of this amount and to oncurrent file to lock in an independent work permit and stay here.

We would need to analyze the J-1 to see if you are subject to the 2-year foreign residency requirement, and if yes, see if you qualify for a waiver.

Switching from J1 to EB-5 through adjustment of status may be possible, but first, you need to confirm whether your J-1 is subject to the 2-year home residency requirement.
