How can an EB-5 investor travel abroad after applying for a travel permit?

I have submitted my application for the travel permit (I-131) and have been awaiting the biometrics request for more than 10 days. Having an EB-5 green card, would it be okay to leave the country and perform biometrics overseas, as I need to travel soon? Would it have any negative outcomes?

If you are a conditional resident, you are free to travel. If you are applying for a reentry permit for extended absence from the U.S., you may still be scheduled for biometrics but frequently these are waived. If you have the I-131 Receipt you can try a walk-in to the nearest ASC Fingerprint location and it is possible they will accommodate you and print you before departure if you show a good reason.

As a green card holder, you only need a travel permit if you intend to stay out of the U.S. for more than a year.
