How can I renew my F-1 visa if I have applied for a green card through my mother?

I currently live in the US. I am under the international student visa status. However, my visa has expired and I would like to renew it. All my documentation is good, with my active I-20. My question is, I have applied for the I-130 alien relative. My mom received her green card this year and I applied so that in the future I can visit her. Does that I-130 application prevent me from renewing my F-1 status? If so, what is my best option?

You will need to disclose it and convince the consular officer you will be returning home when or if your priority date is current to immigrate.
