I am on F-1 and about to file I-485. I have had on/off-campus jobs in the past on CPT, but I am not sure if I paid taxes correctly. Is it something that will impact my application down the road? How can I prevent that?

As long as you will not become a public charge, your I-485 should not be affected by how much tax you pay.
