Should I inform my university that I am working on an AOS EAD?

I have been working on my F-1 OPT since June 2022, and it is expiring next month. In December, I filed and received a new EAD based on my adjustment of status. If I use my AOS EAD as work authorization before my OPT ends, am I required to inform my university so that they can terminate my F-1 visa and SEVIS account? Are there any other steps I should be aware of?

You can stay on the F-1 OPT EAD until it expires and then advise the employer of the change as you will need to complete a new I-9.
