What should I do if I have not received my biometrics appointment after 15 weeks? - EB5Investors.com

What should I do if I have not received my biometrics appointment after 15 weeks?

10/16: Filed I-130, I-131, I-485, and I-765.
10/19: Applications delivered.
11/13: Finger Print Fee received.
12/10: Received receipt numbers.
12/28: Expedited request received for I-765 because I have a job offer letter. However, they say my case is currently in suspense or on hold until they receive my biometrics.
1/31: Still have not receive my biometrics appointments.

I”m a former F-1 student. I have a job offer that I”m waiting to accept. It has been 15 weeks since I filed the applications and 11 since the finger prints were received. I understand that COVID had delayed the process and there are a lot of people who are waiting too.

Is there anything else that I can do to expedite the process or get the biometrics appointment faster?

Unfortunately, there are over 1 million people waiting to have biometrics taken, and retaken again and again, so there is very little one can do except wait. One can try to expedite issuance of the biometrics appointment, but it''s very difficult.

The USCIS uses the terms "fingerprints" and "biometrics" interchangeably even through the biometrics appointment captures both your fingerprints and your digital photo. It could be that the USCIS was able to reuse previously-captured biometrics data in your case. You could call the USCIS Contact Center and ask for a Tier-2 officer who can check to see if you have been or will be scheduled for an ASC biometrics appointment. Also, all of the applications you listed are within USCIS normal processing times. If your I-765 was expedited, you should have received notice from USCIS by now.

No, your fingerprint appointment will not delay the release of the work and travel permit. They are very slow everywhere and only operating at very reduced capacity due to Covid-19.

Call customer service. Ask for "infopass". Do a service request for your biometrics.

You have to wait longer, unfortunately. The USCIS is behind and many locations are only operating at 60 percent capacity.
