There is now less than a month left until the June 30 EB-5 regional center deadline.
We are now in the final stages and awaiting our interview, is there enough time for the EB-5 bill to pass before June 30?
I have heard that if it lapses then no EB-5 visa could be issued until its renewed which would cause delays.

Find an EB-5 Visa Lawyer: Immigration AttorneyWe do expect re-authorization but obviously not guaranteed. If not, then I assume arrangements would be made to grandfather in any persons who previously applied while authorized.

Find an EB-5 Visa Lawyer: Immigration AttorneyThe scheduling of immigrant visa interviews is up to the NVC or the U.S. Embassy/Consular Office handling immigrant visa applications. The U.S. State Department is prioritizing immigrant visa cases into four tiers in order of priority. Unfortunately, employment-based immigrant visa applications, including EB-5 are in the fourth tier. Therefore, it is unlikely to have an EB-5 immigrant visa interview scheduled before June 30, 2021. The good news is that most industry experts expect the regional center portion of the EB-5 program to be reauthorized. Whether that happens before or after the current sunset date remains to be seen.
