How will the EB-5 RC program lapse impact me if I filed an EB-5 Writ of Mandamus in March?

I made a Writ of Mandamus in late March but I still have no answer on my I-526. Does the July 1 shutdown affect me?

Not clear yet, but they may be sitting on these cases until re-authorization from Congress.

The July 1 shutdown impacts all regional center I-526 petitions. Hopefully, when congress returns from its vacation, we will get another short extension until September 30, 2021, when we expect a better bill to be reviewed.

It is likely that the government will base at least part of its opposition to your court filing on the fact that the EB-5 regional center program has sunset and has not yet been reauthorized. Once the program is reauthorized, you should be able to overcome any such opposition.

Yes, all I-526s are on hold now.

It seems to me that the end of the program makes your petition moot.
