How do I update my DS-260 application after my personal information changed? - EB5Investors.com

How do I update my DS-260 application after my personal information changed?

I filed a DS-260 two years ago, but some personal information has changed (I change a new passport and my son’s occupation has changed from student to self-employed). But, I cannot edit the DS260, it is locked.

In this case, after I received the interview notice, do I need to contact the consulate and ask them to reopen the DS260 a few days before the interview day? Or, I do not need to contact the consulate to reopen the form and update it a few days before interview, instead I should just bring the new passport and tell the officer about the changes directly at the interview? Is it Okay if I provide a new passport with a different number from the one on the DS260? (That one expired, so I changed to a new one)

I would recommend updating the record with the new passport information and any information that has changed since the filing of the DS-260 at the IV interview.

You can ask NVC and you can ask the consulate to reopen to make changes.

Deal with it at the interview.

Cannot be done. Be ready to bring new info to the interview.

If you already have your interview coming up, you may just bring a new passport with the expired one and update information at the IV interview.

Contact the consular office and ask them to allow you to open and fix it.
