I have see a new notification from USCIS. They said they will extend I-797 from 18 to 24 months. Do we have to wait for a new notice to be sent to our address, or do we need to fill our a form to get a new one?

Those receipt notices will also serve as evidence of continued status for 24 months past the expiration date on their green card.
