When will the U.S. open their consulates in China again for EB-5 processing?

When is your best guess for when the US Consulate will open in Beijing? Is there any other way to get an EB-5 application processed?

I have no idea. Best is to monitor the U.S. consulate''s website there.

The Beijing does not do EB-5 interviews, they are all done in Guangzhou. We received numerous appointments for EB-5 in August, but unfortunately, with the temporary lapse of the program, we have to wait for reauthorization - which I expect we will hear about in the next 1-2 months.

No one really knows. Consular processing has been nightmarish. We are all doing our best to get applicants prepared.

A residence application can be processed in the US by filing of the adjustment of status application.

Immigrant visas in China are only processed in Guangzhou consulate. If your project is a regional center project, you will have to wait until the program is re-authorized. If your project is a direct project, it is still being processed.
