How does the rural TEA option impact the EB-5 timeline if I am not from a backlogged country?

I am not from China or India. Will it matter if I choose a rural EB-5 project over a high unemployment area EB-5 project in terms of duration? I am currently on TPS status and I will file I-526E and I-485 concurrently.

Rural petitions are seeing quicker I-526 approval times due to priority processing.

Rural option is quite a bit faster at the I-526 stage.

The rural TEA draws from a separate reserved pool of EB-5 visas, which comprises 20% of the whole, as opposed to high unemployment quota, which is 10% of the whole. Anecdotal evidence shows that some EB-5 rural TEA petitions were more quickly approved than high unemployment TEA petitions, at least in early 2023. However, USCIS internal processing priority may change in future, especially in response to potential future trends in visa quota usage. Past patterns cannot predict future processing times. It is advisable to consult with an experienced EB-5 attorney before making your investment and filing your I-526E petition.
