How can I prove my EB-5 source of funds if it involves a gift from my retired parents?

Part of my EB-5 source of funds was a gift from my parents from proceeds that they received as part of their retirement package (in a foreign country). I have their tax returns from the last 5-7 years, their bank statements proving the bank deposits from the company and path of funds. Is this sufficient evidence for I-526? They do not have their employment contracts handy.

The key here is for you to show their source of the money that they are gifting you. You might want to include any documents regarding their employment period with those companies. In order to make sure you have sufficient supporting documents for your parents'' source of fund, I highly recommend consulting with an attorney who has extensive experience with source of fund for purpose of EB-5.

All of these documents will be helpful assuming the funds they are giving you comes from their savings/accumulated earned income. If they invested earned income, you would want to include their investment account statements too. I would also recommend a good declaration from your parent(s) which outlines and details the path and source of funds they are giving you. Your immigration attorney should be able to provide you with a detailed document checklist based on your funding strategy.
