I am an Iranian applicant, and we received USCIS approval in 2021. Our immigrant visa case was deemed documentarily complete at the NVC in August 2022. Recently, I received an email from NVC stating, ””NVC will collaborate with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in Ankara, Turkey, to arrange an interview appointment for you. Once we confirm an interview date, notices will be sent to you, your petitioner, and attorney (if applicable).”” How much of a waiting time should I anticipate before I am invited to the embassy? Considering potential administrative delays and the prospect of bans, does the grandfathering provision in the new EB-5 reform offer protection for families like mine?

Unfortunately, there is a backlog in all types of visa categories at the US Embassy in Ankara. So, expect a delay unless you are able to transfer your interview to another Embassy, such as Yerevan!
