How likely is it that the EB-5 regional center program will be reauthorized by the end of 2021?

Since the EB-5 was expired on 6/30/2021, many investors are expecting to see EB-5 be reauthorized with the budget bill. However, given there is no update about reforming the EB-5 Regional Center program, how likely is it that EB-5 will be reauthorized by Sept. 30? If not, what are the alternative outcomes in the future of EB-5?

Any opinion is welcomed and appreciated!

No idea - all political but private projects are approvable even now.

As of now, I cannot provide an accurate assessment as to what will be included in the September 30th budget bill, including whether the EB-5 regional center program will be reauthorized. Another possibility is a direct investment project.

We have had 30 extensions since 1993 and my belief is that the program will be extended by October 1, although it may be another short extension. Legislation is a complex process but I am confident we will see another extension relatively soon.
