How can I move funds from my Canadian corporation to an EB-5 regional center investment?

I am the 100% equity owner of a Canadian firm that has majority of the funds I have identified for the EB-5 investment. I also intend to avail a small corporate loan to make up the small balance. My question is, how can I move the funds from inside the corporate shell to an investment in an eligible Regional Center? I do not want to issue myself dividend because of the massive tax incidence it will have. I also do not want to make a direct investment via a US subsidiary because of the hassle of proving job creation, etc. If I avail a corporate loan, does it have to be secured by my equity interest in the corporation?

You may need advice from a Canadian business attorney on how to do this best for tax consequences. For EB-5 program, they will just want proof of the legal source of your funds so want the complete trace of where they started and ended.

You will need to consult with a tax attorney in Canada, but the easiest way to do this is to have your company loan you the money and have a note in place to pay interest and principal back.
