What is the processing time difference between an EB-5 regional center application and a direct one?

I have been told that after completing the I-526 form for an EB-5 application, it can take up to 61 months to be approved in the current system. It is stated on the official site that 80% of the cases are completed in a short time. What is the earliest confirmation time to be expected for a standalone investor born in a non-backlogged country? Does it make a difference if it is a regional center investment?

Presently, there is no distinction between regional center and direct cases, except that regional centers must now get I-956K certification to process new petitions, whereas direct do not need these approvals. Note in many instances investors can now qualify for interim benefits via concurrent filing.

I have not seen any statistics on this - just the posted processing times for each category.
