What does the change in EB-5 processing time methodology mean?

When I checked my EB-5 case processing times from USCIS, I found the estimated time has been changed to be less with this message: “We converted Form I-130 from our older cycle time methodology to our newer processing time methodology. So, you may notice a difference in processing times this month.” What does this mean and what is the difference between the two methodologies?

Non-Chinese or non-Indian cases are currently taking on average about 61 months but be sure, these estimates are rarely if ever accurate. I-130 is for family cases so seems like a mix-up here.

I would not worry too much about it and just use the most recently published processing times which are only rough estimates anyway and nothing binding the government.
