How Long Does EB-5 NVC & DS-260 Processing Take? - EB5Investors.com

What is the NVC processing time of the DS-260 form for an EB-5 visa?

During the EB-5 consular processing stage, when the National Visa Center receives the DS-260 form from an EB-5 investor, what is the typical timeframe for them to review the documents? How long does it usually take for the investor to become documentarily qualified, and is the interview scheduled simultaneously? Are there any factors that may affect this timeline, and is the EB-5 visa processing time dependent on the backlog at a particular consulate?

It normally takes four to six months for NVC to review your DS260 and civic documents and then NVC will send you and your attorney a notice by email that NVC has completed the review of your documents and sent all to the U.S. Consulate in your country. Then, it will take six to nine months for the Consulate to schedule an interview for you. The time for processing may be longer because your documents are not complete or defective. The backlog definitely delays the timeframe and time for your interview.

Sadly, there is hardly a typical time, and processing times vary depending on which posit you are applying in and whether a visa number is available to you.

It usually takes the NVC 3-6 weeks to confirm whether the case is documentarily qualified. The interview scheduling process occurs afterwards and can take several months (or more) depending on the Embassy/Consulate.

Usually less than a month. After the DS-260 is submitted, you will need to upload the required supporting documents. Once those are reviewed and approved, you are in the documentarily qualified queue. The length of time until interview varies widely with the backlog at the consulate - 2 months to 2 years.

I would guess about six months. It does not depend on the wait time at the consulate.
