What should I do if I have no interview time and my status is expiring soon?

My consular interview was in February 2019 and my case was under AP, then I got an email in February 2020 to schedule a category 2 interview again, which I scheduled for April 7. However, it could not happen due to COVID 19 and now my status is expiring soon. What can I do?

Extend or change status or go home.

You might be able to seek an extension of stay in the U.S.

I am not sure I understand these facts fully, but it seems like you should contact the consulate to reschedule. And maybe extend your status, if that is possible.
