How can an EB-5 investor change from I-485 adjustment of status to consular processing?

We are Canadian citizens with an approved I-140, but we are relocating from the USA to the UAE for a 2-3 year project. How can we request to move our EB-5 file to consulate processing? Will it have any impact? Also, will our medical go with it or will this be required again?

You would need an I-824 to change to consular processing and will need a new medical when called for the interview.

File form I-824. Processing will be delayed; new medicals will be required. Processing in Abu Dhabi is not a joyous affair.

If you marked adjustment of status on your form I-526, you will have to file Form I-824 when your I-526 is approved to request that USCIS forward your I-526 approval to the NVC to initiate consular processing. You will have to complete the medical exam again with a panel physician in the country where you complete consular processing.
