How can I redeploy or get the rest of my EB-5 investment back if the project fails?

The project I invested in for my EB-5 application doesn”t seem to be able to recover after the pandemic. Is there any way I can redeploy the funds into a different project? Or can I get the remaining part of my funds refunded?

Some of that will be dictated by the project documents. Most modern projects (the last few years) have redeployment procedures in place, such as a new fund set up for the redeployed capital to be used in new projects within the same geographic area as the regional center (if you are in a RC project).

If the security agreement does not specify that, do not invest. It should be a bona-fide subscription.

You need to read the subscription agreement that outlines the terms of your investment. It will explain the circumstances under which you can get your money back.

I do not see why not.
