How long should I wait to get my passport after the EB-5 interview?

We have attended our EB-5 visa interview in Guangzhou, China. At the interview, the officer told us that our visas are approved and we should wait 2-3 weeks to get our visa and passports back. However, it has been 2.5 months already. We still have not heard back from the Consulate. We contacted the Consulate twice through the online system, but have not received any response. What could be happening? How long does this process normally last?

  There is no normal - I would continue to inquire and indicate URGENT.

  Your case is probably at the administrative processes (AP) phase. Once your AP/background check is clear, they will contact you.
