When can I file for U.S. citizenship if it has been 27 months since my EB-5 I-829 receipt date?

I have been in the US on an EB-5 visa I-526/temporary green card for 4.5 years. My I-829 receipt date is May 4, 2021. I believe I cannot file for US citizenship until my I-829 is approved and the conditions on my temporary green card are removed. I got an extension on my green card until 2025. However, I would want to apply for citizenship as soon as my five years of residence period is completed, which will be within the next few months. With a receipt date of May 2021, when should I tentatively expect the approval of my I-829?

You can file to neutralize up to 90 days before your 5-year anniversary, even though the I-829 is still pending. As a practical matter, USCIS will not approve the naturalization application until after the I-829 is approved.

You can submit the N-400 application prior to the I-829 being approved (so long as you have the relevant number of years of residence), however, the N-400 will not be approved until the I-829 is approved.
