How can I enter the U.S. with an adjudicated I-829 but lost green card?

I am currently abroad. My I-829 just got adjudicated, but my mailroom lost my 10-year green card. I need to return to the US to file an I-90. Can I enter the US with the ADIT stamp in my passport? I have been getting the ADIT stamp annually while waiting for I-829 adjudication. Is the ADIT stamp still valid if my 10-year green card came out before the ADIT expiration date?

I would travel back with a valid ADIT stamp, I-829 approval notice, and any documentation which confirms the lost GC. CBP may ask questions but you should be able to return to the U.S. without issue.

You should be fine with a current ADIT stamp. If it has expired contact the consulate for a travel document.

You may be able to apply for Returning Resident Request at the US Embassy so you can travel back to the US and then file the I-90.

Yes, get the adit stamp. You should file an I-90 for the lost card.
