What does it mean when my I-485 case has been moved to California Service Center?

I received the following notice for my I-485 case: “Preliminary evaluation is complete, case moved to CSC.” What should I take this to mean? Do I need to do anything about this?

This is a good sign - the case is moving and not sitting in a pile. Means CSC may adjudicate your I-485 relatively soon, if the priority date is current.

This is a routine workload transfer.

There is no action needed from your end. It is quite common for applications to be shuffled around between different service centers for processing.
