What can I do to receive my physical green card if there are no updates for more than a month after my EB-5 I-485 approval?

My I-485 shows “new card is being produced” on 8/31 and “case was approved” on 9/1. No further case status updates since then. It has been more than 30 days and I still have not received the physical green card. I have contacted USCIS but the representatives have not been able to provide me with a reason or a solution for this issue. I have also submitted a service request for this but no responses yet. Are there any other ways for me to follow up on this? If my green card is printed at a later date, will the “resident since” date on the green card be the same as when my EB-5 I-485 was approved, or will it be the actual print date? When will I be eligible to apply for an I-829?

The government is required to provide you documentary evidence of your lawful permanent resident status. That evidence is usually a Form I-551 stamped in your foreign national passport granting status for one year. Absent such a stamp, USCIS will stamp your passport upon proving you are a lawful permanent resident. Any use of a green card can be satisfied with a showing of the stamped Form I-551. The green card does not give you any status. It serves the same function as the I-551 stamp, i.e. to show others that you have lawful permanent resident status.

If the mailing address is secure you should receive your card very soon. The date of approval should be September 1, 2022.

I would wait more time before other steps are taken. The permanent resident card will be sent to you by mail. Does USCIS have your current address? Your permanent resident card will state that you have been a resident since the date that the I-485 was approved.

See if you can get the tracking information from USCIS to see where it is.
