How can an F-1 student travel abroad about four months after filing their EB-5 application?

I am an F-1 student now and am looking to submit my EB-5 application (and thus I-485) in June. I have to travel abroad in October and wonder if it is possible with my F-1 visa, as I think it might be too short of a time to receive my Advance Parole by then. What is the best way to submit my EB-5 application while still being able to travel in October?

You cannot travel on F-1 after submitting I-485 - you must have the advance parole (travel permit) or you will be abandoning the adjustment application for permanent residency.

If you travel before obtaining advance parole, your I-485 process will be considered abandoned. It is taking anywhere from 6-10 months for advance parole documents to be issued. You could request an expedite or an emergency advance parole, but these are rarely granted.
