I am currently on F-1 OPT and am planning to apply for EB-5 while on OPT. Should I discuss it with the international office of the university prior to applying for the EB-5, or after I have applied for the EB-5, when I receive the receipt notice, etc.? What differences would it make?

The DSO might ask you if you get an Employment Authorization Document (EAD). They can also help you to understand the university policies on EB-5 applicants and they can offer valuable insights!
