How long would an EB-5 I-526 direct petition take to be adjudicated in 2023?

I am getting ready to apply for EB-5 direct and would like to ask what is a safe, reasonable period of time for it to be adjudicated? USCIS shows about 60 months – if I put in an application today, does it mean that I will only get an answer in 2028? I understand that each application is different and will vary, but a realistic, based-on-experience timeframe would be appreciated.

Thank you

We are seeing approvals sooner than that unless from a backlogged country - factoring in the almost one-year lapse and ramp-up time, it may be as little as 2 ½ years, but better to be conservative. Also, if lawfully in the US, you can file concurrently with an adjustment of status in certain circumstances.

Post times, as you know, are ridiculous and unfortunately mostly accurate; but seem to be getting a bit better.
