What businesses are more likely to create 10 job opportunities for direct EB-5?

I plan to build a tech startup in a rural area for EB-5. Several people told me that it is very hard to convince immigration services that a business can create 10 jobs except building a hotel, a restaurant, especially a franchise. Has anyone had any success in helping a client with a business in a rural area? Would you please share what type of business it was?

Certain businesses such as hospitality are obviously good at job creation but no reason why a good tech company cannot create 10 jobs. If you are doing a direct business, be aware you may have to pay millions in wages, even if the business fails. Best to do a regional center project.

Any type of business can qualify. You need to submit a business plan showing what jobs would be created in your particular business – they do not have to be professional jobs.

Direct EB-5 needs to be accompanied by a comprehensive 5-year business plan that must be credible and establish how the business will create at least 10 full-time positions that will be allocated to an EB-5 investor. Please hire an experienced EB-5 immigration counsel.

You can commission a feasibility study and it can resolve this question for you. The obvious question is whether you will have adequate labor market in the rural area.

You need to establish the eligibility of the business to create 10 direct full time jobs via a business plan and an analysis conducted by an economist.
