What is the status of EB-5 consular interviews?

Have consulates started scheduling EB-5 interviews? I’ve been waiting on NVC since December 2020 and have no idea how long it could take to just get an interview given that consulates take 500 interviews a day for students but can’t find time for investors.

It depends on the consulate and whether private project or Regional Center and of course priority date must be current and your case documentarily qualified at NVC.

They started up again finally. Consulates have started sending notices to our clients last week.

The Department of State did announce they would be resuming them, but be mindful of the general backlog of consulate processing at many U.S. consulates.

The consulates are operating in slow motion with very limited staff. They would have us believe that it is extremely dangerous to work due to the new variants of whatever disease. So it would be much better to adjust.
