When do I need to show proof of Covid vaccination when applying for an EB-5 visa?

I heard that CDC has issued new policies requiring all permanent resident and immigrant applicants – in and outside the U.S. – to be fully vaccinated against COVID 19. Do they accept all vaccines? Can I not submit my EB-5 application before I am vaccinated? At what point in the process do I need to show proof of vaccination? My country does not have enough vaccines, is there an option to get vaccinated in the US at arrival?

Not needed until after Oct. 1 and then only at permanent residency (I-485) stage.

Under the new rules effective October 1, 2021, persons applying for immigrant visas must show vaccination. I am hopeful that the US civil surgeons in your home country will have an adequate supply of vaccine so this will merely become another step in the process.

If any such vaccination requirement is in place, you will be advised of it through the immigration process.

You can submit your I-526 but will need to show proof of vaccination at the I-485 or consulate processing stage.

You will only have to show you have been COVID vaccinated when you apply for your permanent residence (I-485) several years after you file the EB-5 application.
