What happens if the primary EB-5 applicant cannot attend the biometric appointment?

My mother is the primary applicant of the program, and we are in the process of I-829. After we acquired CPR status, she returned to our home country before COVID, and has not come back due to travel restrictions. Now, it”s still unlikely for her to reenter the US for the biometric appointment for I-829. How would her situation impact me as a dependent? We filed I-829 separately, since I”m over age 21.

You did not need to file separately because you are over 21. But if the principal applicant is not approved, it is unlikely a derivative applicant can be approved unless it is a divorced spouse.

You should attend the biometrics and try to get her rescheduled so she does not lose her PR status.
