How can I travel outside the country on advance parole with an expired passport?

I have applied for and advance parole, which was granted. But unfortunately, my Guinean passport has expired and I have no way to get a new passport cause I fled my country. I am planning to travel to France. I would like to know if I can travel out of the US and return back with my expired passport, or is there a way I can get a document I could use with my advance parole to travel abroad?

You need a valid passport to enter France and to get a visa and to reenter the U.S. If you cannot get a valid passport, then you can apply for a refugee travel document, but not so easy to obtain.

The AP will still require a valid passport. The AP is simply the temporary permission to reenter the U.S., like a visa.

You can use advance parole for permission to reenter the United States. Nonetheless, you will need a valid travel document, such as a passport, as well for both departure to and arrival in the United States.

This depends on your current status in the U.S.
