I am currently an international F-1 college student. My parents are processing an EB-5 application, where I am a dependant. We expect to have an interview and receive the conditional green card in mid-2025. But I lost my passport with my F-1 visa attached. I have reported the loss and am currently processing the required steps to get my passport reissued. I do not plan to return to my home country since I don’t have my F-1 visa with me, and I don’t want to risk getting rejected from an F-1 visa reissue interview. Thus, I plan to apply for OPT around February 2025, graduate in May 2025, return to my home country, do the interview, and return to the U.S. with an EB-5 conditional green card. Would this work? Would this affect my parent’s EB-5 application?

EB-5 Immigration attorneysThis plan could work if implemented correctly. I do question how you can be so sure when you will get the green card interview? Technically you could also file a following to join adjustment after your parents get their green cards, but best to apply all together.
