Could a direct investment in a rural area project exceed $800,000?

I am exploring a business opportunity through a direct investment in a rural area for an EB-5 visa. I understand that the minimum investment required is $800,000 due to the location being a TEA. However, I’m considering investing more than the minimum amount. This would give me a larger stake in the business, but I’m unsure if this could impact my visa application.

That should not affect your EB-5 case at all.

Investing more than the minimum amount is not a problem.

You can absolutely invest more than the minimum amount. You will have to provide source of funds documents for the entire investment amount, however.

$800k is the minimum… the sky is the limit! (Remember, you’ll have to source every dollar you invest, so plan accordingly!)
