Can I use money in a holding company for my EB-5 investment?

I am a Canadian retiring this year. My children have moved to the U.S.; one has a green card, and the other is in process. I have just started looking into the EB-5 visa and was wondering about the following: Since most of my assets are in a holding company, can I use the money in a Canadian holding company, invest in a business or regional center, and get an EB-5, or does it have to be my personal money?

It has to be your personal money.
