I’m wondering if it’s possible to utilize a Small Business Administration (SBA) loan to support my EB-5 visa investment. Or must this loan come from a bank if it’s going to be blended by a financial institution? Should I request the loan for the full amount of the investment or a partial amount?

Find an EB-5 Visa Lawyer: Immigration AttorneySBA offers many different types of loans, and the loans are given to a business and not to an individual. For EB-5, you must invest personal capital (which you may obtain through a loan issued to you, as an individual).

Find an EB-5 Visa Lawyer: Immigration AttorneyIt is permissible to utilize a loan towards your EB-5 investment. However, the loan must be under your name, and you must be personally liable for the repayment. If the loan is secured, the collateral must be your personal property. You will also need to provide a source of funds for collateral. It is not permissible to use the loan secured by the assets of the EB-5 business towards the EB-5 investment.
