Can I transfer from an EB-2 to an EB-5 visa?

I’m from Mumbai and looking into the EB5 visa but I see the prices are super high now. Not sure if this it’s still a good option for an investment visa, and I’m looking also at the EB-2 because there are a lot of options for Indian professionals there. Is there an option I can start with the EB-2 and move inwardly to the EB-5 without paying so much?

EB-2 is a very long wait, maybe decades. The price will not go down. If you can find a good project and the money is returned in a few years, that can be a very good investment deal.

You may have more than one case pending but each must comply with the rules for that classification. The most favorable Priority Date can apply to both cases even if started at different times.

I don't understand how you can reduce EB5 investment obligation by starting with an EB2 visa? You can certainly apply for EB2 if you are eligible and apply for EB5 concurrently if that's what you are thinking of.
