Can I stay in Canada after my I-526 is approved?

I am an EB-5 investor from Canada and expect my I-526 petition to be approved very soon (the investor group I’m a part of has already received 50% approvals). Once approved, do I have to spend a minimum amount of time in the U.S.? Or can I stay in Canada during the 2-year conditional period before filing the I-829?

When you have a green card, you are expected to live in the US. if you have legitimate reasons to be out you can file for a reentry permit to protect your green card.

Did you set the I-526 up for consular processing or adjusting? The I-526 is just part of the first stage for you to obtain conditional residence.
