Can I apply for EB-5 with a TN visa and use stocks as capital?

I have been working for a company under a nonimmigrant NAFTA Professional (TN) visa that recently granted me around 500K in shares. Can I apply for EB-5? The company already has a good amount of employees. What would be the best path to get residency without having to apply for the H1B first?

If you have $800,000 to invest in a regional center set-aside project, then you can apply.

Share ownership can be used as a lawful source of funds for an EB-5 investment in a specialized EB-5 business. The shares may be liquidated into cash or may serve as collateral for a loan. Because the current EB-5 minimum investment amount is US$800K, additional lawfully sourced funds would be needed. The above assumes that the EB-5 investment is not being made into the TN business itself.
