Once an investor''s EB-5 petition is approved by the USCIS they must apply for their green card either through consular processing in their home country or through an Adjustment of Status application filing with the USCIS if they are currently in the U.S. It is at the green card processing stage that an investor and their dependent family members are subject to a medical examination. The examination is required to establish that an applicant is not inadmissible to the United States on public health grounds.
