Could traveling with an expired advance parole affect my I-485 petition?

I mistakenly traveled with an expired advance parole while my I-485 was pending. As a Canadian citizen, I was allowed to enter the U.S. with a B2 visa and was told to renew my AP. Will this result in an I485 denial? The AP was stamped with Dec 29th, 2024, the date from the previous trip, which I had assumed was the expiration date.

Traveling without a valid advance parole causes your adjustment to be denied unless on an H or L visa. It would be best to refile the adjustment or travel abroad for your final interview.

Your I-485 has been abandoned. Re-apply.
