What is the process for using funds that have been gifted to me for my New Zealand Investor Plus application?

A part of the funds I will use to invest to qualify for my New Zealand Investor Plus application will come from family gifts. I would like to know how I can use these gift funds in compliance with current rules and what documentation is required.

For gifts, you will need to be able to show that these funds have been gifted to you unconditionally and in accordance with local law. INZ will probably also like to see documentation that shows the funds that were gifted to you were acquired legally by the person that gifted the funds to you.

If a proportion of your investment funds have been gifted to you, you will be required to show the funds have been gifted unconditionally to you in accordance with your local laws. You will also be required to demonstrate how the donor of the gifted funds has lawfully earned them. Immigration New Zealand may request evidence going back a number of years (10+ years).
