2018 Ho Chi Minh City EB-5 Expo
March 7, 2018
Park Hyatt Saigon

In light of Vietnam booming as one of the fastest growing EB-5 marketsEB5 Investors Magazine welcomed more than 500 investment immigration professionals, migration agents and project developers to its largest Vietnam event to date – the 2018 Ho Chi Minh City EB-5 Expo on March 7.

Following a VIP cocktail reception at the Park Hyatt Saigon, the networking and educational event featured a full day of interactive panels moderated by professionals experienced in the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program.

With Vietnam experiencing a more than 62 percent increase in the number of EB-5 visas issued over the past two years, according to the U.S. Department of State, attendance during the panels was peaking. Topics featured discussions of potential changes to the program, an inside look of the state of the market for Vietnamese agents, alternative visa options to EB-5 and how regional centers and developers are selecting EB-5 projects

Dan Schwarz of Fragomen Worldwide appreciated the networking opportunities the expo had to offer.

There was plenty of opportunity to network and hear different perspectives from the industry’s top lawyers, local migration agents and regional centers on the current EB-5 market and its future,” he said. “These types of conferences – particularly those in different markets – allow the industry to grow by promoting both knowledge and networking in a really effective way.

Catharine Yen of Schuchert, Krieger, Truong, Spagnola & Klausner, agreed.

The EB5 Investors Magazine conference in HCMC was fantastic,” she said. Multiple Vietnamese agents, regional centers and other service providers all convened in one location, so it was easy and convenient to meet everyoneForming these valuable connections was the biggest benefit of attending this EB5 Investors Magazine conference.”

Lily Zheng of Bether Capital said the event was “a great opportunity to learn about market trends, regulations and other EB-5 matters.”

“..Industry stakeholders could exchange ideas and meet the best partners at the conference,” she said. “It`s a valuable event for both the projects and the agents.”
